Guide Me

Accessibility

Accessibility statement.

We want everyone to be able to use this website and the guides we make. This is what we aim for, what we have done and what we have not yet done.

Draft. Some company details are still to be filled in; they are marked in brackets. Last updated 8 November 2026.

Our aim

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on this website and in our guides. This is a target, not a claim of conformance: we have not had an independent accessibility audit, so we do not say that we conform.

What we have built in

  • Each stop can show its transcript on screen while the audio plays.
  • Large text with a text-size setting, strong contrast, light and dark themes, and buttons sized for touch.
  • Pages work with a keyboard and have a skip link, headings in order and named controls.
  • Nothing plays when a page opens. If you turn on live directions, a stop can start when you arrive; you can switch that off in the guide’s menu. Animation is reduced if your device asks for reduced motion.

What we have and have not checked

We test our pages with automated checks and by hand on phones and desktops. We have not tested every page with a range of screen readers and other assistive technologies, and we have not had an independent audit. Some parts may therefore not work well for you.

Known limits

  • The narration uses AI-generated voices. Where a stop has no transcript, please tell us.
  • The street map is visual. Stops can also be found from a list and by number.
  • Guides are produced in the languages agreed with each venue. This website is in English only.

Tell us about a problem

If something is hard to use, or you need information in another format, write to hello@guidemevisits.com or use the contact form. Tell us the page and what happened. We will reply and try to fix it.

Review

We review this statement when the site changes in a meaningful way, and after any audit.

Talk to us about your place.

Tell us about your site and we will reply to talk it through. No commitment, just a conversation.
